Remastered version of antennasia’s fourth album "Qus-cus". The original was released in 2010 on CD and digitally from Mori Records.

"I listened to the album again and again during the remastering work and was really surprised by the uniqueness of the music on this album. (Also, I found the album to have a pleasantly hypnotic ambient effect.)

While continuing in the electronica direction of the previous album "23 Bluebird St., Velo-City", the pieces on "Qus-cus" are even more complete, complex and free, the album gives the impression of flying lightly through a faintly bright space.

Most of the tracks on the album were created from short melodies or phrases that were randomly fed into the sampler, and from which accidental phrases emerged. It was a fairly complex production process, but in contrast to this, the finished songs are not dour, and as the lyrics to 'You Draw, I Swim' say, I draw the background and san's vocals seem to swim freely in the soundscape, sometimes becoming part of the background instrumental performance, sometimes transforming into a lead instrument with a strong charactor.

This opening track "You Draw, I Swim" is a minimalist track (with some synthesiser sounds by my friend Hidetoshi Koizumi) that has never been heard on antennasia before. The vocals and flute by Yas improvise over a dreamy landscape.

The meditative electronic folk 'Female River', The electronica track "noanoa" has a dramatic build-up, while "Goats in a Blue Sky" is inspired by a photo of many goats climbing a tree. The Cat in the Mirror" has the feel of a dark fantasy film. These songs have no lyrics, and san manipulates melody and voice to evoke visual images that transcend language.

The minimalist pop song "Metronome Wiper" (the music box phrase was what I heard in a dream), the simple electronic sounds and melodies describe the tension behind the stillness, " Gynoid", the psychedelic electronic folk "Passion Show", the drum'n'bass-infused "Stareater", "Last Birds (CTANKEP)" makes extensive use of voice collage. On these tracks, the listener can enjoy the emotional vocals, which change expression in various ways as they accompany the lyrics.

The reissue also includes a bonus track, 'Spiral Sequence', which was originally included in a bonus CD in some shops in Japan. This is the first official release of the original version.

About half of the songs on the album were played by Mr. Ryuichi Sakamoto on his radio programme. We would like to thank him once again.

This release marks the end of the remastered reissues of older works that began in 2018. By coming into contact with the past works, we feel that our own past activities have not been so bad, although it may not always have been plain sailing. And since we were able to produce the album "Warped Lucky" last year, which (in my opinion) surpasses past works,
I think I and san will enjoy the rest of our journey, feeling a bit more free."
